Hooray for discounted tickets! E and I were able to watch Disney On Ice at the Araneta Coliseum this year. Incidentally, it's my first time to go to Araneta Coliseum ever. IKR?!
We enjoyed the show, but I think that it's really for kids, being semi-interactive and all. But I do think that after this, Pluto is now my favorite Disney character. Not that I had one before.
Anyway, it was a nice, happy time, which I was glad to spend with E. :)

Day 359 - 2 Weeks Later
After the Komikon, E and I with his friend M went to a store that sold various things from office furniture to old computers to mountain bikes to apparently, huge teddy bears. We found this sitting on one of the leather couches at the store and it was so cute I had to hug it. E took a photo of me, which is the picture on the left.
2 weeks later, the bear must've missed me, because it suddenly showed up on our doorstep. OK, not really, but that description's close enough to reality. The picture on the right is the bear sitting on my bed today. :P

Day 357 - Komikon 2011
OK, that's obviously not the best picture in the world of the Komikon event this year, but I took this randomly, while in line to get Manix Abrera's autograph. And, isn't that testament to how much we had fun? We had so much fun, it completely slipped our mind to take pictures of the event. Yes? Maganda na ba ang palusot ko? ;)
Anyway, this is mostly to show what the Bayanihan Center, which is the venue for this year's Komikon, looks like. It's so very posh compared to the usual UP Bahay ng Alumni venue. I guess that means that things are looking up for local comics! Yehey!

Day 354 - 1110111211
No, the title of this post isn't binary. (Hence the #2 in it.) It's just that way because the last 3 days seemed to have meshed into just one very long day for me.
It really started on Thursday night when E asked me to join their paintball game on Friday morning. I said yes and because my shift in my new office ends at 5am, as soon as I got home, I just took a shower, threw some extra clothes in a bag and headed for Quezon City, where the paintball venue, La Mesa Eco Park, was. I know, it's so far, but I've never tried paintball before and I did have nothing planned for 11-11-11. And okay, going to the north is not that bad, as long as you have a good reason to go there.
Anyway, after the paintball game (which our team won!), we had lunch at SM Fairview. And it was my first time to step into SM Fairview ever. I never thought I'd ever see that mall, but you never really know where life's going to take you. And I know, going to a different SM branch is hardly a significant event in someone's life but, ano ba, mababaw lang ako.
After lunch, E and his officemates still had to work so after a quick shower at C's house, which is only a 5-minute drive from their office (Thanks so much C!), we went to their office, where I took this photo of them working. They looked like this for the next many hours, only slightly changing when they had a meeting and when we all ate dinner. So this was more or less how they looked from 2PM til midnight.
And after midnight, we decided to just sleepover at C's (Thanks so much! Again!) because it was too late to head 40km to the south.
We left C's house at around 7am on 11-12-11 and I got back home around 9am and only really slept properly at 12nn. So, yeah. November 10, 11 and 12, was one long day for me. Enjoyable of course, but still really long.

Day 349 - Teriyaki Boy Again
I don't think we meant for it to happen. We certainly never established that Teriyaki Boy is our favorite restaurant, because it really isn't. But for some reason, it's the restaurant that we've eaten at the most. And at its different branches, too. Is it because we're both picky with food (and by we, I really mean just me) and Teriyaki Boy is one of those rare things that we agree on? (And it seems to have a branch everywhere we go.) Although, I did end up eating 3/4 of this Sesame Maguro order by myself. E ate most of the chicken teriyaki instead.
P.S. Fifth movie (since getting back from NZ) today! Too bad The Three Musketeers kinda sucked. I think it's because I still keep thinking that Orlando Bloom should be the hero. :P

Day 347 - Fourth on the Fifteenth
It would've been better if this was the fifth movie that I saw since I got back from NZ so the title would the "Fifth on the Fifteenth", or if maybe I watched this movie yesterday so that it would be "Fourth on the Fourteenth", but what are you going to do? Things happened in this way.
Anyway, this is my movie ticket for Real Steel, which I watched today with my best friend E at my favorite mall in the world, Alabang Town Center. I already pasted it on my planner before I took a photo of it. It's an OK movie, if you're a kid. Predictable of course, but has some funny moments and at least it's better than the Transformers franchise. The stories are different, I'm only comparing because they've both got robots. Or wait, Transformers technically has aliens. Whatever, some sort of mecha.

Day 249 - Garlic Potatoes
Anyway, The Lincoln Lawyer was so-so. The twist at the end (or more like halfway) was okay, but I think it had too many characters and too much dialogue. Plus, what the heck happened to Josh Lucas? He was such a cutie in Sweet Home Alabama. In this movie, his face and role were more or less forgettable.
I played DotA for the first time and E told me about the basics. It made me realize how much of a non-gamer I am because despite the cool graphics and pretty entertaining (and easy) gameplay, I totally sucked and I just didn't get why it's as addictive as most gamers say it is.
On the way home, we passed by some food establishments and I'm going to go ahead and say that E and I really have different tastes. We both wanted a snack, but I bought a cupcake, and he bought a bowl of garlic potatoes, which is the food that's in the picture. They were both delicious, but in a completely different way. I'm actually not even sure if this qualifies as "foodtripping" because I think the cupcake shop and the garlic potato shop have been there for quite some time, but forgive me, SM North is about 50 kilometres from my house.

Day 247 - White Cheddar Popcorn
This is the bag of White Cheddar Popcorn that E bought for me from Taters because we watched Sucker Punch in ATC today. The movie didn't suck as much as I expected it to, but it still wasn't great and I liked it as much as I liked Watchmen, which is to say I didn't. But I liked the soundtrack, and I still enjoyed the experience of watching it because how can I not when I have white cheddar popcorn on my side?

Day 227 - Ginger and Teriyaki
As for the candy, E gave me this after our meal, which I think he did as a joke because it did not taste good. I like spicy food, but the kind of spicy that ginger is, I really don't agree with. I took a picture of it so you all will know to stay away.

Day 60 - My Farewell
I guess it's only fitting that on my last day at work, the farewell party is at Music Match, where our team had its first videoke session. Somewhat funny story: I had been telling the team over and over that we should go and have a videoke party and when they finally did, after the Christmas Party last 2008, I wasn't even able to go because I went home earlier than everyone else.
Of course, we'd gone to videoke several times since then, and I was able to go to each one of them, but those were at different places (mostly at Center Stage, at Jupiter St., Makati). This was the only time we went back to Music Match.
In this picture, I'm holding the cake that our team leader K specifically had her best friend J make for this occasion. It's a blueberry cheesecake, which I'm not particularly fond of, but who has a right to be choosy with presents? :P It was delicious, anyway. :)
Again, I don't want to be too sentimental, but I'm really going to miss them.
P.S. Since you can see both my hands in the picture, I obviously can't take credit for taking this. But I was the one who asked E to take it. So it still counts as my photo of the day.

Day 58 - Special Delivery
This is a receipt I got when I mailed my pasalubong from Kota Kinabalu to E and his officemates in Quezon City. It cost me P205 to send, but considering the distance, the transportation fare probably would've cost me the same even if I delivered it there myself. And they got it on the very next day, which is of course, convenient.
I made this in black and white because I think documents look better in black and white.

Day 52 - Treats from Cebu
TURTLE AND OTAP - Otap is a kind of biscuit covered with sugar, and the keychain is a purple turtle with the word "Cebu" written on it.
My best friend went to Cebu and Bohol with his officemates last weekend (on the exact same weekend that I went to Kota Kinabalu with my mom) and thoughtful person that he is, he brought back biscuits and a keychain for me. :) I didn't even have to ask him or anything. Now, if only he could be as nice with regard to other aspects in life. >:)
I should note that I'm not actually very fond of otap. But one of these packs did get opened a mere hour after I got them courtesy of my hungry brother.
