#43 - Mt. Fuji from Tokyo

We were just taking pictures of the buildings when the restaurant manager pointed out that from one of the windows, you could see Mt. Fuji.

There is a conversation in my Japanese book that goes:

A: Can you see Mt. Fuji from Tokyo?
B: In the old days, you could. But nowadays, it's difficult.

I think it's because the atmosphere's changed, there are too many buildings now, etc. etc. But I guess, if the building is high enough and the sky is clear enough, you still can. :) Anyway, I'm really happy that we got treated to this now-rare occurrence.

This photo was taken around 5:45 pm at a MORI Tower in Tokyo last February 23rd. (And by the way, I didn't use a filter.)

Day 41 - Sampaloc Lake

I went swimming with some friends at a resort in Pansol, Laguna. Afterwards, we went to D's hometown of San Pablo, which is famous for having many lakes. This one is called Sampaloc Lake. I think it's the biggest and most accessible one, given that there's a path around it that you can walk/ride a bike on. I took this photo while we walked on that trail. I don't know the name of the mountain, though. And it's too bad it was cloudy. It actually rained hard that night. Luckily it didn't start until we were finished walking the trail.

Day 336 - LOTR Tour

Obviously (from this photo), today we went on the Lord of the Rings tour in Wellington. I've been on it before but the rest of my family hasn't. I think they enjoyed it. :)

Day 285 - Japan / New Zealand

The full moon over the mountains always make me think of Japan. But this is Lower Hutt. I guess watching anime can screw with your brain :P

Day 281 - Purple and Pink

Purple and pink skies around 6PM today. This is another view from another window in the living room of my sister's house.

Day 274 - I can see it, too!

So, I dare you to look at that view from the same window I'm looking at it and not want to take its photo. :P

For those of you who don't know, this is the view from my sister's house, which she also has taken pictures of before, so actually I've already seen it a lot of times, but I still think it's beautiful. It's the kind of view that you think you could only see in resorts and stuff, but here in New Zealand, it's the view of a residential area! Awesome!

Day 203 - Clouds on the Mountain

Rain has always given me mixed emotions. On the one hand, it ruins your time at the beach, but on the other, it gives you scenery like this. So I can't say that our second day in Virac was totally ruined, even though we didn't get to swim in the beach and got scared about landslides while we were driving on the side of a mountain because, look! Isn't it so pretty?
